Faculty & Staff
TThe Psychology Department at Wheaton College includes twenty-three doctoral-level faculty members and five staff members. All twenty of twenty-three department faculty members play a role in the doctoral program; over one-third of the psychology faculty also teach in one of the MA programs. The core faculty of the Psy.D. program consists of nine individuals who contribute more than half of their time to this program. The core faculty of the M.A. in Clinical Psychology and Counseling Ministries programs is made up of three individuals who are also licensed clinical psychologists. The M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy consists of individuals. All of the core faculty members of the Psy.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology program have attended doctoral programs and internships that are accredited by the American Psychological Association. Consistent with the training model employed, every effort has been made to attract scholars with strong interests in clinical practice and practitioners with strong scholarly interests and abilities.
In addition to the nine core faculty positions in the doctoral program, most of the other faculty members contribute to the Psy.D. program, even though their primary assignment is elsewhere (e.g., undergraduate or M.A. program). In addition, the Psy.D. program also employs the talents of several affiliated and adjunct faculty members.
