Accreditation

Wheaton College has been granted program approval by the Illinois State Board of Education in the following areas: Elementary Education, Biology, English, French, German, History, Mathematics, Physical Science (Chemistry, Geology, or Physics), Political Science, Social Science, and Spanish.

In addition, Wheaton's education unit is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), 2010 Massachusetts Ave. NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20036. The most recent site visit for accreditation was in November 2006.
