This annual contest is a persuasive speaking competition open to all Wheaton undergraduate students. Speech topics may be on any subject, but must be persuasive, entertaining, provocative and less than ten minutes long. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three speakers.
The contest, established by Jonathan B. Cook in 1928, was created to encourage superior public speaking.
The public is welcome to attend this free event. It takes place in Armerding Lecture Hall, located at 520 Kenilworth Avenue in Wheaton.
