This is a ten-day preview program designed to allow students to audit one of the Outdoor & Adventure Leadership courses of their choice, receive a battery of personality, career, leadership tests followed by a personal consultation to help clarify calling and giftedness for this field. Graduate Apprenticeship: This is a ten-month program conducted entirely at HoneyRock in northern Wisconsin. This experience provides community, discipleship, instruction and hands-on ministry. Starting each November participants are trained in all aspects of outdoor adventure ministry as they prepare for winter retreat (8 weeks) and summer camp (10 weeks) seasons. A stipend is provided for ministry work done during the camping seasons. GA's will also be able to develop their own philosophy of outdoor adventure ministry during the April one-week intensive class (CFM 662). Apply for our Graduate Apprenticeship.
Masters Degree: A Master of Arts degree in Christian Formation & Ministry with a concentration in Outdoor and Adventure Leadership can be earned by starting at HoneyRock Camp in November. One-week intensive courses are taught in November, December, February, April and May. Students have the opportunity to apply for summer employment at HoneyRock, and then return to the Wheaton College campus in Illinois in late August, to complete two semesters of coursework. Serve:
HoneyRock trained leaders are serving in ministries throughout the United States and around the world. Participants in our programs have the opportunity to be linked with like-minded ministries in post education internships or job placements.
